Our Mission
The mission of Music in the Woods Inc. is to enrich lives and bring people together through community, performance, education, and the gift of art.
Our Vision and Impact
Driven by skilled instrumentalists, performance enthusiasts, and dedicated individuals, Music in the Woods seeks to empower individuals and unite artists through charitable giving and musical collaboration. We are committed to reaching children who have limited access to art education, offering opportunities that inspire creativity and foster a lifelong love of art.
We deliver the gift of art through community events at the Music in the Woods Studio for all art mediums and host Concierge Concerts to raise funds for our mission. Additionally, we provide complimentary services such as performances, seminars, mentorship, and more.
Our new Musician Mentorship Program, sponsored by the Natalia Matviiv Scholarship, provides aspiring musicians of all ages with access to professional mentorship and opportunities to learn and grow in a professional performance environment.
We plan to expand our programs through the generosity of volunteers and the support of the greater public. We embrace all art forms and all people. Our studio is a place to gather, heal, grow, and immerse in exquisite art. Please see our FAQ!

Concierge Concerts
What’s better than a relaxing atmosphere paired with philanthropy? Let Music In The Woods spoil you with your own individualized performance experience. Your private concierge will tailor your event, guiding you through a generous selection of musical compositions and amenity services. Give you and yours the relaxation you deserve and a time you’ll never forget! Through funding scholarships and aid opportunities, all proceeds help generate musical exposure and education to those who do not have access.
Community Events
Classical, rock, jazz- you name it! Throughout the year, Music in the Woods offers a variety or performances open to the public. Community Events are more than just delightful entertainment; they are a chance to embrace musical heritage while coming together in celebration of culture. These events are enjoyable for all ages and fun for the whole family!
Angel Program
With grace and altruism, our Angels are professional musicians who volunteer their time and resources, devoted to bestowing their talents and expertise. Angels provide pro bono services, including seminars and performances, and they can act as community liaisons to those without access to musical enrichment. Furthermore, Angels are mentors, offering one-on-one support and music education to community members of all ages and backgrounds.

Music In The Woods has its performance space surrounded by large beautiful trees and three million daffodils. In the spring, animals emerge from winter lairs, flowers dance and birds commence their magical songs. Music is there in the woods when we unplug and listen.
We're accessibly located at the Treetops Performance Studio, nestled in the forest of Mianus River State Park in Stamford. Our affordable concerts, prestigious programs and community outreach efforts make our nonprofit an exciting performing arts center in Fairfield County, and the rest of the country.
